Beginners Climbing Course – Indoor Top Rope
This course teaches you the basics of climbing, like belaying, tying knots and climbing techniques.
Join the passionate climbing instructors at the Norwegian Center of Mountaineering for an indoor top-rope climbing course – a perfect first time climbing experience for any newcomers.
In this course, you get a basic introduction to securing and climbing with top ropes. After the course you qualify to take the Norwegian Climbing Association toprope test. If you pass the test, you order the top rope card from the NFK, which costs NOK 200 to register. This top rope certification gives you access to climb in all climbing halls in Norway.
This course is a beginners climbing course - no previous experience from climbing is required.
NB! Participants under 18 need to have parental consent. We look forward to facilitating the start of your climbing adventure! Minimum age: 13 years. Younger children can climb in the bouldering hall while parents take the course.
